Auroura Eckberg is a Research Engineer at the EERC, where she supports energy and environmental projects related to coal conversion, renewable energy, and other chemical processes. Her principal areas of interest and expertise include renewable energy processes, ethanol production, and gasification.
“Since starting at the EERC I have gained valuable knowledge on a large number of projects; I love how diverse my workload is and how many things I get to be a part of,” Auroura said. “Not only do I enjoy my work, but I am also thankful for the wonderful coworkers I have and the culture at the EERC.”
Auroura is originally from Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, and graduated from UND in December 2020 with her bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Political Science. Auroura’s favorite thing to do outside of work is travel. She has been to 13 countries so far and hopes to fill her passport before it expires. She also enjoys running and having a good cup of coffee.
