Tyler Hamman
Assistant Vice President for Strategic Partnerships
Prior to this position, Tyler worked as the Vice President of Government Relations for Basin Electric Power Cooperative and has been working with the EERC as an external partner for several years. Tyler is originally from Kansas. After spending some time in Wyoming after college, he moved to Washington D.C. for 8 years where he met his wife. In 2014, they moved to North Dakota and have enjoyed chasing around their three daughters—ages 7, 6, and 2. He tries to enjoy all of the seasons of North Dakota through hunting, fishing, golfing, and boating.

Jesse Iverson
Research Engineer
Prior to coming to the EERC, Jesse was the General Manager of Rhombus Guys. He first heard about the EERC through his time at UND and was initially interested in the position because of the EERC’s research and community. Jesse is originally from Hannaford, North Dakota. He has many hobbies and interests, including football, captaining a local broomball team, music, playing the saxophone, theater, and creative writing. A fun fact about Jesse is that he minored in Theater in college and enjoys writing short stories and other creative projects.

Tlaloc (Frank) Munoz
Software Development Engineer
Prior to coming to the EERC, Frank was a Software Developer for Razor Consulting Solutions. Frank is originally from San Diego, California. He and his wife are foster parents to three children, and in his free time, he enjoys outdoor sports, raising chickens, and tabletop RPGs.

Ethan Nowak
Principal Geophysicist
Prior to coming to the EERC, Ethan was a Geophysical Advisor with CHK. He was interested in joining the EERC because of the 4D seismic monitoring of CO2 work we’ve done in the past. Ethan is originally from New York; is a father and a husband; and enjoys gardening, saltwater fishing, and furniture making.

Gavin Romanick
Research Engineer
Gavin first heard about the EERC while attending a career expo as an undergrad and was interested in applying because of the opportunity to be exposed to this industry. Prior to coming to the EERC, Gavin was a Field Engineer Intern for Creedence Energy Services in Williston, North Dakota. Gavin is originally from Grand Forks, North Dakota, and is a fan of the Green Bay Packers. He enjoys playing the piano and cello and spending time with his wife and son.

Cindy Savage
Assistant to the CRO
Prior to coming to the EERC, Cindy was a Paralegal at Swanson & Warcup, Ltd. She was initially interested in this position because of the opportunity to work with a group focused on bringing forth cutting-edge environmental technologies. Cindy is originally from Grand Forks, North Dakota. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her friends and family at the lake.

Zach Smith
Budget Analyst
Prior to coming to the EERC, Zach worked as a Budget and Revenue Officer for the City of Helena, Montana. Zach is originally from Great Falls, Montana. He enjoys football, basketball, and baseball. He and his wife love traveling, spending time outdoors, hiking, and going to the lake with their 3-year-old son and their Golden Retriever.

Andria Spaeth
Budget Analyst
Prior to coming to the EERC, Andria served as the Assistant Director of Business Operations at UND’s Wellness Center. Prior to that, she was a Work Well Coordinator, and prior to that, she worked as a Relationship Banker at Alerus Financial. Andria is originally from Moorhead, Minnesota, and enjoys summertime outdoor activities, watching her children’s sports activities, crocheting, baking, and collecting and building LEGOs.
