Remy Leger is a Senior Geoscientist in the Geoscience and Engineering Group at the EERC, where he interfaces with a diverse team of scientists and engineers to assess project uncertainties in oil and gas development and geologic CO2 storage. He holds an M.S. degree in Geology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Prior to his position at the EERC, he served as a Senior Geologist with Schlumberger in Midland, Texas.
Remy has been working at the EERC since January 2021 and was interested in this role because of the EERC’s work and reputation as a research center, rather than a corporate company. He says he enjoyed his previous position as a Geomodeler and is excited to continue using his skills and knowledge at the EERC.
Remy grew up in Covington, Louisiana, about 30 miles north of New Orleans. He enjoys hiking, noting his 24-mile hike through the Grand Canyon in October; sailing; gardening; and week-long sailing trips with friends during each of the last 4 years.
