Josh Sanford is a Research Engineer in the Energy Systems Group at the EERC, where he works collaboratively on multidisciplinary teams to evaluate coal conversion, renewable energy, and other chemical processes in support of energy- and environment-related projects. He holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Mechanical Design from UND.
Josh’s principal areas of interest and expertise include postcombustion carbon capture, engineering design and analysis, emission control, research and development in renewable energy, and operating pilot-scale test equipment.
Josh is looking forward to all of the hands-on experience he will have on the job. He worked as a Lead Chemical Applicator at OneCor Services before coming to the EERC.
Josh is from Williston, North Dakota, and enjoys playing video games and basketball. He is married and has a golden retriever.
